Swellendam – Hermitage Huisies
Our beautiful farm cottages are nestled in the picturesque Hermitage Valley, situated just 2kms outside of Swellendam, at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains. The area is well known for its spectacular views, tranquillity, abundant outdoor activities and picturesque berry farms. Your hosts, the Zaayman Family (consisting of Ma Nadia, Pa Spuy, Little Bro Zondagh and Tiny Sis Katryn as well as Chocolate Labrador Petunia, Jack Russell Mix Fritzz and Max the Cat) would love for you to share our little piece of paradise and stay a while in one of the 4 self-catering cottages on our farm.
Each of our cottages are comfortably furnished with all necessities and you will be glad to know that every one of them comes with an outside Braai area. We furthermore appreciate the importance of a good night’s rest and all adult beds are equipped with only the best pocket spring mattresses for your sleeping pleasure. All our cottages are fitted with free WiFi. Guinea Fowl, Aardvark and Rose are fitted with flatscreen TVs and basic DSTV. River Cottage has no TV.
There is loads to see and do in and around Swellendam, the third oldest town in South Africa (and once declared a Republic of its own!). We really do have it all: Horse Trailing, Spectacular Mountain Biking Routes, hiking in Marloth Nature Reserve, Game viewing in the Bontebok National Park, sunset boat cruises on Buffeljagsdam, some of the best restaurants South Africa has to offer, in-season Berry Picking and much more.
So if it’s just a quick visit whilst passing through, business trip, a weekend away from it all or a long deserved holiday, Hermitage Huisies would certainly be able to accommodate all your needs.
PET POLICY: Only very well behaved pets allowed. Dogs sleep inside; bring own dog beds, bedding and bowls. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or carpets and must be free of ticks and fleas. Please be sure to pick up after your dogs and scoop the poop! Consideration must be given to other guests, resident dogs, cats, birds, farm animals and wildlife. No pets around pool area. CHARGE for Pets: R50 per pet per day. Doggie Damages Deposit required: NONE.
