Wilderness (Garden Route) – Waterside Lodge
Welcome to Waterside Lodge where we cater to you as well as your beloved fur babies. Nestled between the indigenous bush of the coastal mountains and the natural beauty of the Touw River, Waterside Lodger welcomes you to our stylish, well-appointed en-suite accommodation.
The pristine Wilderness Beach and the Wilderness Village with its restaurants as well tourist attractions are all within comfortable walking distance. At our front doorstep you will find the start of the Touws River Boardwalk, an easy and scenic 500m stroll providing close encounters with the many bird species abundant in the lush coastal undergrowth.
Wilderness is perfectly located as a central point from which to explore the world-renowned Garden Route of South Africa. Popular activities on offer included scenic hikes for the fit and the not so fit, canoeing, paragliding, zip-lining, swimming, surfing, 4 x 4 trails, forest walks, ATV’s cycling, visits to wildlife sanctuaries, elephant rides, fishing, shark cage diving and many more. There are no fewer than ten world-class golf courses within easy distance of Waterside Lodge. These include Pezula, Simola, Sedgefield, George, Fancourt, Oubaai, Kingswood, Glenwood, Pinnacle Point and Mossel Bay. With our wonderful temperate weather all year round, the Garden Route Golf circuit remains a wonderful attraction.
PET POLICY:
Small to medium sized dogs, cats & caged birds are welcome all year round. Pets sleep inside. Dogs
must be leashed when outside. Please bring own pet beds and bowls. Pets must be tick and flea free
upon arrival. Sunbird Cottage has an enclosed verandah. Pets are not to be left alone in the
cabins/suites. Pet parents are to clean up after pets go to the toilet (disposable bags are provided to
scoop the poop). Barking to kept to a minimum and under control. Consideration must be given to
the Lodge’s cats, Zenzero & Contessa Zariah. Babysitting can be arranged (please advise at earliest
convenience).
